Agst-Sept (✿◠‿◠)

Hola... si ya se que me había desaparecido... En las ultimas 5 o 6 semanas he tenido ciertos problema 'técnicos' -.- Ademas cuando llego a casa mi nivel de energía no da para mucho... Mi día comienza a las 5am -me despierto antes que comiencen los gritos de los de la mezquita para poder disfrutar mi cafe en silencio. Y después del trabajo siempre hay algo que hacer, gimnasio, yoga, librería, biblioteca, cine, compras, clases de malayo, etc. Y ahora que el semestre comenzó también hay montón de actividades en UPM. … Tengo algunas fotos que poner acá, quizás este fin las 'suba'. Si es que los  de la mezquita no se ponen pesados, de lo contrario me voy de paseo ... Y bueno, agosto-septiembre se los puedo resumir en algunos momentos de 'comiquitas' asi no se hace tan largo!

En el trabajo:

Adry: no puedo abrir gmail porque se bloquea el browser. IT: doc. puede usar otro browser Adry: ya lo intente -.- IT: oh o.o! Debe ser que el servidor esta lento. Esperemos a ver si se resuelve. Adry: o.O? … 3 semana mas tarde, Adry: Office and pdf reader no responden, aun no puedo abrir gmail, y ... bloquearon twitter?! IT: doc. respaldo su trabajo? Adry: si . IT: Menos mal. Adry: y no pueden ver cual es el problema? IT: si .... Me dieron otra pc :)

Transporte:

Chofer: a qué hora terminan hoy? A las 4pm. Chofer: OK… 4.20pm y aun no llegaba, así que lo llamamos. Chofer: OK, OK pero estoy ocupado … Adry: -.-!

En casa:

Mediados de Julio, Adry: hay una gotera en el techo de la cocina. H.O: ok lo reportaremos a mantenimiento. Mediados de Agosto, Adry: el techo de la cocina aun gotea y la nevera se está descongelando. H.O: ok, lo arreglaremos pronto. Finales de agosto, Adry: el techo de la cocina y la nevera aun gotean; y el pasillo de la entrada está inundado. H.O: Si doc, lo arreglaremos pronto. Septiembre 16, Adry: aun esta la gotera en la cocina, la nevera aun descongela, nuestro pasillo de entrada sigue inundado y no tenemos internet. H.O si doc, ya lo sabemos y lo arreglaremos pronto. Adry: Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti, …

Hello! 'm a live and well, but have not been good at keeping this blog :( For the pas 5 to 6 weeks I've been having a few technical problems -.-... Plus by the time i get home my energy level is only enough to shower & going to bed. I get up at 5am (before the screaming from the 'camp mosque' starts) so i can have my morning coffee in silence! From work i go to the gym, yoga, bookstores, coffee houses, grocery shop, cinema, etc. or stay on campus coz there are also plenty things to do here now that the semester started at UPM... I have a few pictures to share with ya and will upload them over the weekend.That is if the buddies from the 'camp mosque' don’t get too loud; otherwise I’m out!  Well, instead of telling you all about Aug-Sept in Malaysia -long story!- I'd tell you about a few cartoon moments that summarize the last 5 to 6 weeks:

@ work

Me: can't open Gmail coz if i do, it crashes the browser. IT: doc. can try a different browser. Me: i did -.- IT: oh o.o! Maybe UPM server is slow. Let's wait and see if it gets better. Me: o.O? … 3 weeks later, me: office and pdf reader keep on crashing, can't open Gmail, and why is twitter blocked IT: doc saved her work? Me: yes. IT: good. Me o.O can you fix it? IT: yes... Now I got a new PC -to b fair, IT at work are very helpful, nothing like the people on campus >.>

@ Transport

Driver: what time you finish today? Me: 4pm. Driver: OK … 4.20 pm no transport, so we called the driver. Driver: OK, OK, but can’t go now ‘m busy … me: -.-!

@ home

Mid July, i told the housing officer: ‘… the kitchen celling is leaking. H.O said: OK we will report it to maintenance. Mid-august, me: the kitchen celling and the fridge are leaking and the fridge is defrosted. H.O: OK, we’ll fix it soon. End of August, me: … the kitchen celling and fridge are still leaking and the hallway is flooded. H.O: yes doc, we’ll take care of that soon. September 16, me: ... the kitchen celling and fridge are still leaking, the hall way is flooded and the server is down. H.O: yes doc, we know and we will fix it soon. Me: Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti, …

Hola!!! Gracias por sus mensajes =^.^=... ya arreglaron el problema con la internet, aunque no en un 100%... la verdad es que no creo que era cierto que el problema lo coaccionó un 'cable roto'. *.* Hablando de cables rotos, la gente de IT me dio un cable gris para sustituir mi lindo cable azul que se daño porque al cerrar puerta del balcón el cable quedo aprisionado '.'... El cable gris y horroroso funciona a medias, ya que parece un resorte y se sale de repente >.< Por lo menos ya la conexión de internet fue restaurada así que realmente no hay excusa para no haberme conectado a Skype o Gtalk o no haber respondido a sus emails ... excepto que estoy viendo mi programa favorito del momento: un drama Coreano muy entretenido ◔_◔. Luego  me dedico a terminar de corregir ensayos entregados para revisión y después preparo mi lunch box. Ya cuando termino es media noche y automáticamente me da sueño...  La verdad es que el sábado cuando comencé a contestar emails, los cantos y oraciones comenzaron y decidí salir a caminar -no estaba de humor para ser torturada con los cantos desafinados y las oraciones a gritos... Según mi prima Vanessa me acostumbrare y ya no me molestaran, pero hasta ahora me siguen incomodando... Y bueno el domingo se lo dedique a Noah Gordon☺ … aunque si les conteste a alguno de ustedes y por supuesto que envíe algunos tweets e hice una visita corta a mi FB ... Pero realmente mi atención era casi toda para Noah. Pero este fin termino de responder a sus emails … y les contare mis problemas con el transporte *-* Pero ahora los dejo porque mi programa favorito ya  comenzó ;) … besos! 

   
Hello!!! Thanks for your messages =^.^= … the internet issue has not been resolved 100% but  the server is working now... I don't think that the problem was a ‘broken cable’ *.*… Anyhow, they gave me another grayish ugly cable to substitute my pretty blue cable that got stuck when I shut the glass door '.' ... The ugly looking grayish cable seems to be working ok, but it gets disconnected cos it springs out of the dock,  plus it is ugly and gray >.<…  So, I have internet access even if it is a bit doughy, so no excuse for not logging on to Skype or Gtalk or emailing u … except, that I really got hooked on watching this Korean melodrama ◔_◔ , after which I spend time marking some revision papers and cooking for my lunch box, next thing I know it is midnight and ’m ready to sleep!  Actually I was about to go online on saturday but the chants started and I decided to go for walk instead of staying in and be tortured by the unharmonious chants and loud prayers :s!… My cuz Vanessa assured me that I’ll get use to them, but I haven't yet; they still creep me out a little …Then Sunday  I dedicate it to Noah Gordon☺ … I did reply to some of your emails though, logged on to Facebook and of course tweeted a little, but most of my attention was devoted to Noah.  I will reply to the rest of you over the weekend ^.^ … will also tell you about my transport troubles *-*...  My favorite Korean drama is on now ;) XOXO ...

... Pues si, como les contaba, desde el jueves pasado no hay conexión de internet en donde vivo. La verdad es que mi récord no es que sea muy bueno. Así en retrospectiva, en Inglaterra la conexión de internet era catastrófica, en Dinamarca pase casi 8 meses sin conexión, en Estados Unidos... bueno, mi mac se murió:'( y quede desconectada por un tiempo, en Venezuela había meses en que la conexión de internet era intermitente  y ahora en Malasia  la conexión de internet falla  después de mi primera semana acá! … Sip, ya veo cual es denominador común >.>!... De todos modos hoy reporté el problema, pero según me dijeron en el IT dept.  “alguien” rompió el cable óptico o.O?. Y bueno, al parecer es muy difícil reparar ese tal cable óptico  por que les llevara por lo menos 2 semanas repararlo… no sé si eso sea verdad o no;  pero como yo no tengo ni idea de lo que es un cable óptico *-* ni que tan fácil sea romperlo o repararlo... me conformo con aceptar que por  2 semanas más no podré conectarme al mundo mientras este en casa.  Tal vez aprenda algo de mandarín o de malayo en las próximas dos semanasporque invertiré tiempo, después del gimnasio y de yoga, viendo dramas Coreanos y anime Japoneses doblados a mandarín con subtítulos en malayo :p. Bueno, realmente los prospectos no son ni tan malos  ^.^ Total aquí en UPM después de las 9 realmente no hay nada que hacer…. Besos!

... As I was saying, there is no internet access at home. Come to think about it, my record is not good -.-!...  while in the UK I had connection issues all the time,  in Denmark I spent almost 8 months without internet at home, then in the USA ... well, my mac died, so i was disconnected for some time... in Venezuela I had difficulties to access internet as well, and now just after a week in Malaysia, the internet service at home went kaput! Ok, I can see the pattern here >.>… Anyhow, I reported the problem today and the IT person said that someone had broken the optical cable o.O!? Which, apparently it is very difficult to repair, cos it will take them at least 2 weeks to fix the problem. I don't know how an optical cable looks like so can’t really argue about how long it’ll take them to fix the problem *-* … So, I simply accepted  the fact that I won’t have internet access at home for at least 2 more weeks...  I might actually learn some Chinese or Malay cos after the gym & yoga I will be watching Korean dramas and Japanese anime  in Chinese with Malay subtitles :p ... Actually it won't be such a bad way of spending late evenings ^.^ after all there is nothing going on after 9pm here at UPM anyways... XOXO!

Ok, 2 semanas ya en Malasia y por fin termine todo el papeleo burocrático... Tal vez sea el calor, pero aquí todo es lento. Nadie se apura por nada :)... En el complejo residencial donde vivo, la conexión de internet no funciona desde la semana pasada y aun no tengo móvil -◔_◔ es que no me he decidido entre Nokia♥ o Iphone4 ni tampoco plan me convendría mejor...  Y por eso es que no les he escrito o contestado?  Pero  GRACIAS por sus mensajes♥! Se me ocurrió que podía darle uso a este blog para comunicarme con ustedes  (✿◠‿◠) ... Bueno les cuento que Malasia tiene muchos contrastes y se siente que como estar en una selva 'urbanizada'. Hasta ahora no he tenido mayor dificultad adaptandome la cultura malaya excepto por el calor pegajoso, las oraciones y cantos de la mezquita a las 5.30 am y a las 9pm -no estoy a aquí para las otras 4 llamadas del día y la comida. La comida malaya es en base a productos lácteos y carnes rojas, totalmente trágico para mi porque yo no consumo lácteos ni carnes ».«! ... Ciao, :*)

Goodness me! 2 weeks already since i got to Malaysia, time flies... I finally finished all the paper work at the international affairs office, the registrar and the health centre. I noticed that things go on a slow pace here...  Guess what! I have no internet connection! -how many times have you heard me saying that?! LOL! … But every time it has been true!  Only this time, I have no mobile either - ◔_◔ i know, I should have gotten one already. The thing is that I can't decide between a Nokia♥ and an Iphone4, plus I don't really know what plan will be better for me -So that will take some time... Meanwhile, I’m disconnected from the word after working hours! … Since it is the summer term, everything on campus shuts down by 6pm and I cannot stay late at the institute to catch up on emails or chat with you cos I won't have a ride to go home. So, see that is why i have not been in touch!  I'm alive and well; THANKS for all your emails and messages♥!  Between the time difference, the summer term time tables and the poor -and now non-existent- internet access at my place, it's not possible for me to reply to all of you.  That is why I will attempt to use this blog to communicate with you (✿◠‿◠) … Well, so far Malaysia is ok except for the humid weather, the university mosque loud praying calls & service at 5.30 am and 9pm -I’m not around for the other 4! and the food! Malaysian food is based on dairies and red meat neither of which I consume - ».« tragic!!!...   bye 4 now, XOXO

Banished....

 ... So, at the moment my ego is wounded and m in shock ... After I was dragged to pointless argument by a christian friend of mine, I was "banished"... It all started with me answering a silly question about yoga. “Do you know what Namaste really mean?” my friend asked. And I stupidly reply “salutation to the Primal being”… And somehow my answer lead to a lecturer on how yoga and meditation were practices against god, how my life style needed a 'make over ' and to the questioning of my family's commitment to god (?!). So, apparently not only meditation and yoga are evil, but also my free spirited nature will destroy me (?!) Well, I did not to laugh, but politely asked this person to drop the nonsense and to back off. She did not! And instead she started to point out the dangers of not accepting her help and being blind to the "truth" (?). My reply was that I simply could not deal with her arrogance and ignorance and asked her to point her silly crusade somewhere else.  Of course, this christian person got offended by my "arrogant and presumptuous" reply –which according to her, was insulting to god. Finally the persecution and salvation attempt stopped. Of course, I still had to listen to this self-labeled good christian's story about how she prayed to her god to be released from her duty of saving me (?!). Then she banished me quoiting the bible (!) and of course her disgruntle lecture ended with “god bless you” … I'm still in shock!  I've been "banished". I did not know that was even possible in our modern society.  My ego is wounded and I’m confused! ...
